• Feature: If your server has more than one music library, you choose which one to use right after signing in.
• Improvement: A redesigned sign-in screen, calmer and in the colors of the Finer logo. Saved accounts show your profile picture, the Continue button stays in view while you type on iPhone, and on Mac the form sits in the middle of the window.
• Improvement: Signing in is more forgiving. Enter your server address with or without http:// or https://; problems are explained right under the field, such as no Jellyfin server at that address or a wrong username or password; and if Quick Connect is off on your server, you go straight to username and password.
• Improvement: Quick Connect shows how long the code stays valid and lets you long-press it to copy.
• Improvement: Tapping a saved account whose session has expired takes you straight back to signing in, with your username filled in.
• Improvement (iPhone): Long-press the mini player to open the queue, Lyrics, Instant Mix or Add to Playlist without going through the player.
• Improvement: Pages with nothing to show now say so instead of staying blank, and pull down to refresh still works on them.
• Fix: Lyrics of downloaded songs show without a connection to the server. Songs you downloaded earlier get theirs the next time Finer connects.

• Feature: Custom HTTP headers. If your Jellyfin server sits behind a proxy that asks for an access token or a particular User-Agent (Pangolin, for example), add the headers under Settings › Custom HTTP Header, or from the sign-in screen before connecting. Each server keeps its own headers, and Finer sends them with everything it asks that server for, including streaming, downloads and artwork.
• Improvement: Volume Normalization now brings quiet songs up as well as turning loud ones down, so they no longer sound noticeably softer than the rest. Choose how far quiet songs can be lifted under Settings › Stream › Boost Quiet Tracks. The default is +6 dB, and Off keeps the old behavior.
• Improvement: Stream settings now group the volume normalization options together and the transcoding options together. Options that have no effect with your current choices are greyed out, such as the bitrates when Transcode is set to Never.
• Improvement (iPad): The progress bar in the floating Now Playing bar is easier to hit. Tap or drag just below the line to jump to a point in the song.
• Fix: Playlists imported from .m3u files on the server show up again. They had gone missing from Finer since 1.46.0.
• Fix (iPad): Tapping the floating Now Playing bar between its buttons no longer opens the album or song behind it.

• Feature: A new Now Playing bar on Mac and iPad floats over your music in a glass capsule, like Apple Music, instead of filling the bottom of the window. It has a progress bar you can drag, one-tap access to lyrics and the queue, and a menu for Instant Mix, Add to Playlist and going to the album or artist. Click the artwork to open the full player. On a narrow window it tucks away the controls you need least.
• Feature: Ready for iPhone Duo. Unfolded, album and playlist grids, song lists and the Album Artists page spread out to use the larger screen, and fold back as soon as you close it. Opening Now Playing while unfolded shows the full player, with lyrics or the queue beside the artwork, and it switches to the iPhone player if you fold the phone while it's open.
• Feature: Animated GIF album covers now play on the Now Playing screen. Covers in lists stay still, and the animation pauses whenever the Now Playing screen is out of sight.
• Improvement: On iPad, narrowing Finer's window switches to the iPhone layout, with tabs along the bottom and the compact Now Playing bar, and widening it brings the sidebar back on the same section.
• Improvement: Album and playlist grids on Mac and iPad now fill the width of the window instead of leaving a gap at the right edge.

• Feature: Edit your queue. Drag songs in Up Next into the order you want, and swipe one away to remove it — on macOS, drag to reorder and right-click a song to remove it. Tapping a song in the queue now jumps to it and leaves the rest of the queue as it was.
• Feature: Previous Queues. When playing something else replaces your queue, the old one is kept, so a stray tap no longer throws away a queue you built by hand. Open "Previous Queues" at the bottom of the queue to pick up any of your last 100 queues at the song and position you left it.
• Fix (macOS): The sidebar icons follow the accent color you picked in Settings again on macOS 27, instead of showing in blue.

• Improvement: Finer is now available in Luxembourgish. Kudos to David Wagener for the translation!
• Improvement: Playlists now only show your music. Video playlists from the same Jellyfin server, such as movies or TV shows, no longer appear in Finer.
• Improvement: With more than one music library on a Jellyfin 12.0 server, playlists only show the ones with songs from the library you have selected. Empty playlists are still there when you add songs to a playlist.
• Fix: Searching for an album now only looks in the library you have selected. With more than one music library on the server, album matches from the others used to show up in the results.
• Fix (macOS): Opening the full-screen player or the mini player no longer moves playback from your AirPlay device back to the Mac's speakers.

• Feature: Volume normalization now understands albums. Put one on and the quiet interlude stays quieter than the single, the way it was mastered, instead of every track being flattened to the same loudness — while a shuffle of unrelated songs still evens them all out. "Normalize By" in Stream settings switches back if you prefer every song at one level. Downloaded music needs downloading again to sound the same offline, and only from Jellyfin 12.0 servers.
• (iOS) Feature: Finer now works with Shortcuts and Siri. Shuffle all, shuffle your favorites, shuffle your downloads, or play a particular playlist — all without opening the app. Say "shuffle my favorites in Finer", ask Siri for a playlist by name, or build a shortcut that starts the music the moment you connect to your car. Resume, pause and skip are there too.
• Improvement: Tapping a song now always plays it. Artist names in the row were their own links, so aiming for play and landing on an artist page was easy to do by accident. To open an artist, long-press the song — right-click on macOS — and choose "Go to Artist".
• (CarPlay) Fix: Finer starts far quicker from the CarPlay icon instead of leaving you on a blank screen while it gets ready. Album art now survives between drives too, so the covers are already there when you set off rather than being fetched over cellular again every time.

• (macOS) Feature: Mini Player — a compact window that floats above other apps with the current track, artwork, a scrubber, and shuffle, previous, play/pause, next, and repeat controls. Open it from the button in the playback bar, the Window menu (⌥⌘2), or the Dock menu: the main window steps aside while it is up, and closing it brings the main window back. Hovering the top row reveals AirPlay and a button back to the main window, and the player can be dragged from anywhere.
• Improvement: Playback is always gapless now — the Gapless Playback switch is gone from Stream settings, and anyone who had it off gets seamless transitions from here on.
• Fix: Tracks are no longer randomly skipped while playing through an album. The longer a session ran, the more likely a track was to be passed over — on the device and in CarPlay alike.
• (CarPlay) Fix: CarPlay no longer asks you to open Finer on your iPhone when your credentials are already saved. It now signs in with the stored credentials on its own, and a slow network at the moment the car starts up is no longer mistaken for being signed out. If the server can't be reached in time, CarPlay retries as soon as the network comes back instead of staying stuck on downloads for the rest of the drive.
• (CarPlay) Fix: The shuffle-all and shuffle-favorites steering-wheel buttons now work offline — they shuffle your downloaded music instead of doing nothing.
• (macOS) Fix: AirPlay to a TV, or to a speaker that reports itself as video-capable, no longer connects and then sits frozen at 00:00. Those devices were handed the stream to fetch and play on their own; Finer now sends them the audio directly, the way it already did for the devices that worked.
• (iOS) Fix: Playback now resumes on its own after an interruption ends. A phone call or a question to Siri no longer leaves the music paused until you reach for your phone — handy while driving. If you were already paused when the call came in, or another app has taken over the audio, nothing starts playing.

• Feature: The Artists tab has a new "Load Full List" option in the Filter menu that loads the entire artist list eagerly instead of page by page. When it is enabled and the list is sorted by Name, a Contacts-style alphabetical index appears along the right edge of the list — tap or slide to jump to any letter.
• Feature: Album and playlist detail pages (including their offline versions) now show a footer with the song count and total duration.
• Improvement: Horizontal carousels on the Home, Artist, and Search pages now scroll all the way to the screen edge instead of stopping short at the page margin.
• Fix: Playback no longer fails (stuck at 00:00) on Jellyfin 12.0 servers, which drop support for the legacy api_key stream-URL parameter.

• Feature: The Playlists tab can now be sorted by Name, Date Added, Duration, or Random, in ascending or descending order.
• Improvement: Play Next and Play Later no longer create duplicates in the queue — a track already in the queue is moved to the new position instead, and the queue updates instantly.
• Fix: Track rows with a long list of artists no longer break the layout (each name wrapping one character per line); the artist list now stays on a single line and truncates.

• Feature: Collections — browse your Jellyfin collections, then play, shuffle, or open the albums inside. Available as a configurable tab and as an entry in the Library tab.
• (CarPlay) Feature: New "Continue Playing" row at the top of the Albums tab (or Downloads tab when offline) that resumes the last played track from where you left off.
• (iOS) Improvement: The screen no longer auto-locks while the lyrics view is open — useful for karaoke sessions.

• Improvement: The donate button on the Home page is now hidden for users who have already donated.
• Improvement: Tapping a song in Search now navigates to its album instead of playing it directly (play options are still available via long-press).
• Improvement: Artist and genre names are now tappable throughout the app — in song lists, album detail pages, and downloaded album pages.

• Feature: Multi-server support — manage multiple Jellyfin server accounts from a new Server Accounts page in General Settings. Switch between accounts, delete saved configs, or add a new server. Saved accounts also appear on the login screen for quick access.
• Feature: Download playlists for offline playback — playlist name and artwork are cached, and the Downloads page now has a toolbar menu to switch between Albums and Playlists views.
• Improvement: Playback queue is now restored per server and user account, so switching in-between libraries no longer loses your playback queue.
