Release Notes

• (macOS) Feature: Mini Player — a compact window that floats above other apps with the current track, artwork, a scrubber, and shuffle, previous, play/pause, next, and repeat controls. Open it from the button in the playback bar, the Window menu (⌥⌘2), or the Dock menu: the main window steps aside while it is up, and closing it brings the main window back. Hovering the top row reveals AirPlay and a button back to the main window, and the player can be dragged from anywhere.
• Improvement: Playback is always gapless now — the Gapless Playback switch is gone from Stream settings, and anyone who had it off gets seamless transitions from here on.
• Fix: Tracks are no longer randomly skipped while playing through an album. The longer a session ran, the more likely a track was to be passed over — on the device and in CarPlay alike.
• (CarPlay) Fix: CarPlay no longer asks you to open Finer on your iPhone when your credentials are already saved. It now signs in with the stored credentials on its own, and a slow network at the moment the car starts up is no longer mistaken for being signed out. If the server can't be reached in time, CarPlay retries as soon as the network comes back instead of staying stuck on downloads for the rest of the drive.
• (CarPlay) Fix: The shuffle-all and shuffle-favorites steering-wheel buttons now work offline — they shuffle your downloaded music instead of doing nothing.
• (macOS) Fix: AirPlay to a TV, or to a speaker that reports itself as video-capable, no longer connects and then sits frozen at 00:00. Those devices were handed the stream to fetch and play on their own; Finer now sends them the audio directly, the way it already did for the devices that worked.
• (iOS) Fix: Playback now resumes on its own after an interruption ends. A phone call or a question to Siri no longer leaves the music paused until you reach for your phone — handy while driving. If you were already paused when the call came in, or another app has taken over the audio, nothing starts playing.

• Feature: The Artists tab has a new "Load Full List" option in the Filter menu that loads the entire artist list eagerly instead of page by page. When it is enabled and the list is sorted by Name, a Contacts-style alphabetical index appears along the right edge of the list — tap or slide to jump to any letter.
• Feature: Album and playlist detail pages (including their offline versions) now show a footer with the song count and total duration.
• Improvement: Horizontal carousels on the Home, Artist, and Search pages now scroll all the way to the screen edge instead of stopping short at the page margin.
• Fix: Playback no longer fails (stuck at 00:00) on Jellyfin 12.0 servers, which drop support for the legacy api_key stream-URL parameter.

• Feature: The Playlists tab can now be sorted by Name, Date Added, Duration, or Random, in ascending or descending order.
• Improvement: Play Next and Play Later no longer create duplicates in the queue — a track already in the queue is moved to the new position instead, and the queue updates instantly.
• Fix: Track rows with a long list of artists no longer break the layout (each name wrapping one character per line); the artist list now stays on a single line and truncates.

• Feature: Collections — browse your Jellyfin collections, then play, shuffle, or open the albums inside. Available as a configurable tab and as an entry in the Library tab.
• (CarPlay) Feature: New "Continue Playing" row at the top of the Albums tab (or Downloads tab when offline) that resumes the last played track from where you left off.
• (iOS) Improvement: The screen no longer auto-locks while the lyrics view is open — useful for karaoke sessions.

• Improvement: The donate button on the Home page is now hidden for users who have already donated.
• Improvement: Tapping a song in Search now navigates to its album instead of playing it directly (play options are still available via long-press).
• Improvement: Artist and genre names are now tappable throughout the app — in song lists, album detail pages, and downloaded album pages.
• Fix: Stats for Nerds now correctly shows codec, sample rate, and channel info for downloaded tracks.
• Fix: Large playlists now load all tracks correctly (pagination was not applied to playlist track requests).
• Fix: Tracks with multiple artists now show all artists (previously only the first was shown).
• (macOS) Fix: Ellipsis menu button on the Servers page now has a larger tap area.

• (macOS, iPadOS) Feature: New fullscreen player — tap the expand button in the now playing bar to open a full-screen view with album art on the left and lyrics or queue on the right.
• (macOS) Improvement: Dock menu now shows now playing info (track name, artist, album) and playback controls (Play/Pause, Next Track, Previous Track).
• (macOS, iPadOS) Improvement: Stats for Nerds (codec badge) now appears in the fullscreen player.
• (iPadOS) Improvement: Optimized album and playlist detail page layout for iPad.
• (macOS) Fix: AirPlay 1 devices now work correctly.

• Feature: Volume normalization — adjusts volume levels between tracks so they play at a similar loudness (requires Jellyfin 10.9+).
• Fix: Sort by name now works correctly in the Songs page

• (iOS) Feature: A new Library tab consolidating Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists, Genres, and Recently Added.
• (iOS) Feature: Tabs are now customizable in Settings.
• Feature: "Original" download quality option — downloads in native format without transcoding.

• Improvement: The now playing bar shows a heart icon next to the track name — click it to favorite or unfavorite the current song.
• (iOS) Improvement: Scrubbing the playback slider now has a tactile feel — the track grows taller, brightens, and ticks with haptic feedback as you drag through time.
• Improvement: Added Play, Shuffle, and Instant Mix context menu actions to artist items in search results. Albums and tracks in search results now also include Instant Mix.
• Improvement: Added Instant Mix option to the mini player's ellipsis menu.
• Fix: CarPlay showed "Sign In Required" when connecting while the iPhone was locked.

• Feature: Multi-server support — manage multiple Jellyfin server accounts from a new Server Accounts page in General Settings. Switch between accounts, delete saved configs, or add a new server. Saved accounts also appear on the login screen for quick access.
• Feature: Download playlists for offline playback — playlist name and artwork are cached, and the Downloads page now has a toolbar menu to switch between Albums and Playlists views.
• Improvement: Playback queue is now restored per server and user account, so switching in-between libraries no longer loses your playback queue.
• (macOS) Improvement: Added keyboard shortcuts for playback — seek backward/forward (⌥⌘← / ⌥⌘→), volume down/up (⌘↓ / ⌘↑), and mute toggle (⌥⌘M). All shortcuts are listed under Help → Keyboard Shortcuts (⌘/).
• (CarPlay) Improvement: Added Shuffle All and Shuffle Favorites buttons to the Now Playing screen.
• (iOS) Fix: AirPlay targeting a macOS device would mistakenly open QuickTime on macOS.
